Good afternoon minions and citizens of Wales :D this is your master speaking,
kassie_opia by name. I am afraid to say I have fiendishly abducted Nickers and taken her iphone. To retrieve her an immediate ransom must be paid in gold bullion and bambi-eyed angelic vessels.
Thank you and good night, your benevolent overlord, her ladyship Cubic Splines x x

Stop dreaming of chatting to/up Zack Efron in disneyland swimming pools. It's not good for your mental health.
In other news, 'tis barbeque season 'round these parts which is awesome, though we have run out of non-euphamistic marshmallows. Such is life.

Know what this is? Well, of course you do, you're a bright young thing, aren't you. This is MMaS, making a post after a somewhat lengthy absense.
But this is not just any post. Oh dear me no, this post is interesting. This post is, dare I say, special.
This post was written on MMaS' gorgous little darling of shiny loveliness, her goddamn iPhone.
Why no, I have never quite felt so smugly superior to the general human race as I have today. Thanks for asking.
Here, have some lovely pictures I took with it:( Read more... )

- Finally got new glasses on friday. I CAN SEEEEEEE.
- Current Muscial Addictions: This, this, this, this and this. Something of a pattern, yes. Amanda Palmer is currently in playing in NZ, which just reminds me how much I miss it 3:
And apparently Patrick Wolf was at the guildhall on the 9th. Why do I never hear about these things until too late -.- - Went into town to get clothing for interview (as I am a scruffy being that lives in T-Shirts and Jeans), wandered through one of my brother's favourite clothing shops (really a tiny record shop with what seems to be the entire Nabootique stuffed in a single room at the back) and was led to his girlfriend's favourite vintage shop, where I got the most gorgeous vibrant blue jacket for a fiver. Then went to TKMaxx and got the prettiest black dress ever. I hate dresses and I insisted upon this one so that's saying something. Also got two more pairs of lovely little shoes because all I've got for casual wear right now are a scruffy pair of slip-ons. And now I'm raving about clothing oh god why.
- Picked up Umbrella Academy 3&4 at the comic shop, which are of course kickass. I think Mr Way is trying to figure out how many presidents he can manage to assassinate in six issues.
- Got goodies from the asian food shop. Rainbow tapioca! o:
- Appear to have pavlov'd my mother. Saw Calvin Klein briefs in TKMaxx and started giggling, which would usually warrant an odd look and a usually incomprehensible) explanation. But no. The first words out of her mouth? "I don't want to know." They learn quick, they do.
Also I am pretty sure I saw Benji sitting next to Anna and Cissy in the cafe today. About time the creative person hallucinations started kicking in.
RIGHT now I have a title page to paint an an illustration to finish penciling and scan print and ballpoint and maybe scan again and colour and then start drawing smut. MMAS OUT.

Unfortunately this now means my mother will want to talk about nothing else. Quite literally. Every quiet moment with her will be spoiled with "So, your interview...", leading to an inevitable shouting match. 'zactly the same thing happened with my portfolio. We're still getting over the hate.
She's already suggested I copy the storyboards the lady at her work did for the video I helped make on my work experience day there and hand them in as my own work. I told her that was a)disgusting and b)technically plagiarism, and so was yelled at. This is typical when it comes to her and me and anything to do with school. Often she's right, but this is just ridiculous.
ANYWAY INTERVEW WOO. Does mean I'll have to reassemble the board I took apart to bring into school again, but that's not so hard.
Also I downloaded like eight more Dresden Dolls songs and they are luuuverly, yes <3

3. Have been working on a small piece of writing I'm calling "When Morning Broke" for lack of anything better, about Benji and Poppyanna growing up. It's all from her POV, and I'm having wonderful fun recalling all their little quirks. Especially the bookshelf. I'd tell you why but I like it better in context.
4. Am also poking at a few other Pieces, the Angel story/ies I mentioned in a previous post and a little bit of smuttishness. The latter seems to have slowed and I need to think about how to pick it up, but I'm gonna let the others simmer for a bit before I start working in any more detail. Also because other stories keep springing from it like popcorn from a frying pan, i.e. with DEADLY PRECISION.
But I actually have high hopes of actually finishing something soon, which I hardly ever do when it comes to writing :3
5. Finally, http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/co
Right, now I need to go do some drawing now or something.

Right. Just needed to mention that.
Anyway, now I'm stuck in the void of awkward emotion and don't feel like finishing the story I started last night. Which is annoying, because I really liked where it was going. A bit cliché really, two angels, one like the sun watching over the day, and his sister like the moon watching over the night. But the sister did something terrible (though it wasn't her fault), and had her wings ripped out, and with them her laughter and tears, and was thrown down to the earth below. Her brother tried to hold onto her and keep them both up with his own wings, but their hearts were too heavy so they were both sent tumbling down to earth.
And then it kind of split in my head, so now it's a mulch of two stories that need to be separated. The first (an allegory of sorts) is about the sun angel falling in love with the night, and her binding him with streetlights and scaring the dark away.
The second is about two angels (new characters I have yet to devise the specifics of) living on a magnificent fountain covered with other stone angels, and no-one notices them as that's where angels are supposed to be, and even if they move they just see the wings and complain about geese and such. Except small children, because they still believe that angels are real because no-one told them otherwise. And sometimes old people too. And anyone who's a dreamer. Because that's how it always is with these things.
I guess it's pretty easy to guess who the angels are supposed to be, not to mention the night and the dark. If you don't know now you'll know when it's finished, if you know their counterparts already. But I'm just rambling now. I need the distraction. But I have work to do so I'll stop.
Also an angel with golden skin and black wings would be absolutely gorgeous, no? Though kinda out of place in a fountain. One more character to do, I guess.
